The best people to ask about a country you want to visit are people who have actually been there. The reviews below on various parts of Tunisia reflect the views of such people and as such should be very helpful.

Take me back to Tunisia
"I would recommend a holiday in Tunisia to anyone looking for good value for money.
Beautiful beaches, lovely weather, great hotels, and very cheap.
I felt very safe in this country as there are very stiff penalties for crimes against tourists and crime rates are very low. The Tunisians are also very friendly to the English. But they're also very strong ‘Salesmen’ and will be constantly trying to sell you something- a camel ride, a boat trip or some goods.
You can’t go to Sousse without visiting the old walled city- the Medina. Here you have to haggle for everything. The Tunisians here are very overpowering and a bit scary and it takes a while to get used to. But once you have haggled for your first purchase it will give you more confidence. Most people feel the same as myself, that we would have brought more goods if you could just browse, but in Tunisia you need to know exactly what it is you want and just go for it. They do not like to let you go once they get you interested in their goods. Their cries of ‘Asda price’ made us laugh. If you don't like haggling there are fixed price shops where the prices are set by the Government.
Just a few miles from Sousse is the purposely built resort of Port el Kantaoui. This is a modern resort built around a stylish marina. There is a water park and a fun fair here to keep the kids happy.
Everything is cheap in Tunisia- the taxis, the water sports, food, goods, so your spending money goes a long way.
Unfortunately we only went for a week, and was so unable to experience a great deal of the ‘real’ Tunisia, apart from the unmissable camel ride.
We visited in October and the weather was beautiful. I am told that during the summer months Port El kantaoui is heaving with people as better off Tunisians holiday here also. It also gets extremely hot in mid season.
If you are looking for a very lively holiday with plenty of nightlife then Tunisia is probably not for you. It is also worth booking a hotel with its own entertainment because there is little of this outside of the hotels.
I look forward to returning to explore Tunisia more.
